Venezuela Partnership

In addition to being full-time staff in the ministry at Ohio State, we are also directing and overseeing a partnership that our ministry has with the Cru (Campus Crusade for Christ) ministry in Valencia, Venezuela.

Venezuela is a place that is incredibly spiritually hungry. The average Venezuelan college student believes in God, esteems Jesus highly, yet has never heard the Gospel nor understands the significance of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection for their lives.

We are helping to send laborers to reach college students in the city of Valencia, the third largest city in the country with more than a million people. Our role is to coach from a distance the team of Cru missionary-interns that we send each school year. We also make visits to check on the team’s emotional and spiritual health, and often lead missions projects with American students to Valencia, during breaks in the school year. Over the last few years that we have been sending teams to Venezuela, there have been more than 100 Venezuelan students whom have indicated decisions to put their faith in Christ. And currently, there are approximately 50 students that are regularly involved with small group Bible studies. Our hope and prayer is that ministry there will grow to a point where Venezuelans can sustain and grow the ministry themselves.

Here is a video describing how this works.
